Our pride and joy - the Akhal-Teke stallions
Hamgar PRI and Safar PRI not only won us four titles at this year's European Championship in France, but also presented our Sporthorses Stud breeding and the stud to the outside world in an ideal and masterful manner.
In order to give you a more detailed insight into the Championship, as well as our love for the two Achal-Tekkiner stallions, we would like to introduce both horses to you.

The "golden" Hamgar PRI
Our Akhal-Teke stallion Hamgar did not win the "golden" but the bronze medal at the European Championship. Hamgar is the first foal of the successful Thoroughbred Achal-Tekkiner CHILGA (mother) and HAMZA (father). CHILGA is a multiple European Champion and HAMZA has a successful history in eventing. The excellent dispositions of this Achal-Tekkiner pairing are excellently reflected in Hamgar. As a two year old stallion, and especially due to his great appearance, his golden coat and his noble appearance, he clearly convinced in the evaluation. His magnificent charisma and his special character make him an attraction for us and also for the spectators. Due to the breeding and rearing of Hamgar at our stud, we have known him since he was a little boy and he makes us especially proud. We are looking forward to further championships and competitions with him - Hamgar has great potential.
The "shining" Safar PRI
The black horse Safar, who descends from the "top mare" Savanna-Shah and the "champion stallion" Fatah, has shown his potential to the full. Our three-year-old Achal-Tekkiner stallion Safar won three titles at the "Eurpoean Champinship" in France and brought great success for our stud. Not only is he the "European Champion" and thus "over all" winner of the whole competition, but he also won the "Star of Turkestan" and thus had the overall victory in his class of 2-4 year olds. All in all Safar won three titles in one day at the championship in France. Safar is very different in type to Hamgar. Both presented themselves noble and sublime, as it is usual for the Achal-Tekkiner breed. Safar, the "dark one" shone through his dark brown coat and the white blaze gives him that special something. We have been convinced of him for a long time and are therefore even more proud and satisfied that he is now allowed to represent the title of European Champion 2018.

Expectant future with Sporthoses Stud
These four titles at the European Championships in France awaken our excitement and joy for the following championships and the further great results of our breeding. We have seen it again: Experience and passion are the first and most important step to a successful breeding. By setting clear selection criteria according to quality and performance characteristics, we find the best broodmares and stallions with the most optimal parameters for night breeding. We put the selected breeding horses together for the offspring in such a way that the parameters: Type, athletic disposition and character complement each other optimally. Through the sustainable implementation of our philosophy, we have already been able to enjoy a large number of promising foals with the best dispositions this year. Successful offspring is assured!
We are looking forward to presenting the results of our breeding work at our stud in Ovelgönne (near Oldenburg) in regular events.
